Timeline:

Online Theory:
Full Course: The student will have a full year from the date of enrollment to complete the online portion of the Full Course.
Defensive Driving Course: The student will have 90 days from the date of enrollment to complete the Defensive Driving Course.

In-Car Training:
Following the completion of the online course, the student will have a nine-month period to schedule and successfully complete the in-car practice sessions.

Cancellation Policy:

We understand that circumstances may arise which require a student to cancel their scheduled online course. To ensure a fair process, we have implemented the following cancellation policy:

In-Car Sessions:

1. Cancellation Notice:

A minimum of 48 hours written notice is required if a student is unable to attend a scheduled in-car lesson. This notice can be provided to either the Driving School or the student’s assigned instructor. Failure to provide proper notice will result in a charge equal to the cost of a 2-hour session as a “Late Cancellation” fee.

2. Address Change:

When booking the appointments, kindly provide the pick-up and drop-off addresses for the sessions. It’s important to note that we schedule appointments based on the provided addresses, and once the booking is confirmed, changing the address for a session is not possible. However, you can still reschedule the appointment to another day by providing a 48-hour written notice.

3. Rescheduling:

Students are permitted to reschedule their in-car driving lessons for a later date by providing a 48-hour written notice. Failure to provide proper notice will result in a “Late Cancellation” fee.

Discretionary Actions:

Artin Driving School reserves the right, at its discretion, to accept or reject any applicant for training, discontinue training, or cancel a scheduled lesson or class. These actions may be taken for reasons including but not limited to:

– – Environmental Conditions:

If the driving conditions are deemed unsafe by the instructor or the driving school due to severe weather, road conditions, or any other environmental factors, the lesson may be canceled.

– – Safety Concerns:

If a student’s behavior compromises the safety of themselves, the instructor, or the public at large, as judged by the instructor, the lesson may be discontinued or canceled.

We value the safety and well-being of our students, instructors, and the community. Therefore, these policies have been put in place to ensure fairness, flexibility, and responsible decision-making. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

Online Lessons:

Cancellation Notice:

– – If a student cancels their online course after starting (logging in) the course, a charge of 100% of the course cost will apply.

– – If a student cancels their online course and the associated in-car lessons prior to starting (logging in) the online course and booking any in-car sessions, a $50+HST administration fee will be charged. The rest of the payment made for the course will be refunded to the student.

Certification Policy:

Artin Driving School follows a comprehensive certification policy to ensure that students have acquired the necessary knowledge and skills to become safe and responsible drivers. The certification is awarded to students who successfully complete the following requirements:

Online Theory Class:

Students must complete the online theory classes. These classes cover essential topics and knowledge related to safe driving practices and traffic regulations. The purpose of this requirement is to provide students with a solid foundation of theoretical knowledge necessary for safe driving.

In-Car Instruction:

Students must also complete a minimum of 10 hours of in-car instruction. During these sessions, Artin Driving School’s instructors provide hands-on training to develop practical driving skills and defensive driving habits.
Instructors focus on reinforcing the concepts learned in the online theory classes and helping students apply them in real-world driving scenarios.

Demonstration of Proper Driving Skills:

To receive certification, students are required to demonstrate the necessary skills and knowledge to become a responsible driver. This includes adhering to traffic rules and regulations, practicing safe driving techniques, maintaining control of the vehicle, and showing responsible behavior on the road.

Students are assessed on their ability to apply the knowledge gained from the online theory classes and in-car instruction effectively.

Once a student has successfully fulfilled these requirements, Artin Driving School will issue a certification indicating the completion of the online theory class and in-car instruction.
